Filmmaking came to me by accident. Back in high school, I had this dream of becoming a professional hunter on TV, so at the age of 18, I purchased a handy-cam camcorder and I set out to film my bow hunts. Quickly realizing that it was a far off dream, but still loving the idea of capturing moments to share with everyone. As college was approaching, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. At the time, I didn’t think photography or videography was even an option for a career choice. I enjoyed the thought of building things, so I got a degree in Architectural Design & Building Construction. After graduation, I worked full time on a construction crew, while still continuing to take photos and capture video of basically whatever I could for a hobby. In 2017, I started Rolling Prairie Productions as my part time media company, filming business promo videos and weddings on the weekends. As my filming workload became more than a part time job and feeling that there was more to life than my full time 7-5 job, I had to make a decision whether to cut back on my media company or pursue my passion for storytelling and take that leap of faith. Obviously, I took a risk with my media company and left my job and I haven’t looked back since. So here I am, chasing my dream and telling visual stories.
In the beginning of 2022, I decided to rebrand my media company from Rolling Prairie Productions to Soul Film Co.
Soul, is one word that best represents myself and my films. It is an emotion, a feeling, and an inspiration revealed in a work of art. Every film I create comes from a passion and energy inside of me. My goal for every film is to bottle up all the emotions that I capture on a wedding day and mold it into this beautiful visual of two hearts coming together.
I believe every story or film should have emotion; whether it is happy, sad, or intense. You should feel something when you watch it. A film should have soul.

I'm 28, a South Dakota native, and a hopeless romantic. My life wouldn't be complete without my Fiance' who I met back in April 2020. She is my biggest supporter, motivator, and best friend. We both love to hike, enjoy the outdoors, and binge Netflix shows. She makes me want to be the best version of myself that I possibly can be. She is the best thing for me. Occasionally, she helps me film weddings when a second videographer is needed and when she is not working her full time job as a pediatric nurse.
My favorite movie is The Notebook, because I feel I can relate to it so much. I am not afraid to admit that I am an emotional guy. Love letters and surprise dates are my favorite.
